Company Profile
A light emitting diode (LED) is a semiconductor device that has the characteristics of compact size, long operation life, low power consumption. Along with the era of digital technology and environmental protection, LED has applied to the backlight of LCD and mobile phone, and white LED will create huge market of future illumination. Currently, LED has become one of the greatest competitive products in Taiwan's optoelectronic industry.

For this reason, Formosa Plastics Group founded Nan Ya Photonics Incorporation (NPI) in December 2003 with the capital of NT$400 million. NPI specializes in producing and promoting high brightness LED wafers and chips to meet customers' needs and market trends. With the advantages of compact size, low power consumption, and long operation life, NPI products can be applied to consumer electronic products such as indicator lights, backlights for keypad/screen of the mobile phone, decoration lamps, indoor/outdoor displays, automobile lights, traffic signals, etc. Since founded, NPI dedicates to product innovation, customer service, and never stops introducing new equipment and technology to upgrade product quality and reliability. To provide customers with comprehensive and satisfied service is our mission.

NPI has offices at Taipei and Shu-Lin. Taipei is responsible for strategy management and marketing, and Shu-Lin is for operation and R&D. Through integrating resources of Formosa Plastics Group, NPI organizes a strongest R&D team from Nan Ya Research Center, Chang Gung University, and other domestic and international optoelectronics experts. NPI, therefore, would get the best support in aspects of operation, production, sales, and technique, and operate with the highest efficiency.
